DAY 54 - BIKE CAMP

Short day!  Outside of Ennis I enjoyed a morning climb of about 2,000ft over a no named pass and then a fast downhill to Virginia City, a touristy ol' timey town where some of the storefronts are the 1850's originals.

From there it was more rolling hills and slight downhill to Twin Bridges and the Bike Camp!  I didn't know what to expect, it was a screened in pavilion with water, bathroom, and showers.  I sat around looking at all the cycling stuff inside and recharged my cell then went out to grab some dinner.

Sadly, when I got back and wanted to shower, the hot water heater was either off or didn't work and it was getting too cold to take a cold shower.  I wanted to just camp inside the building but because it was windy and the building was half screens, I decided to just throw up the tent as the rain fly gives some decent wind protection.  It was still a great place, lots of notes left from previous cyclists, and I was surprised I was the only one there, free camping places seem harder to come by in the west!
